Encryption is okay for your computer.  But deciphering the maze that is the PTO is our business!  Our professionals, because of their years of experience can get the job done when no one else can.  Try us!   Our location, two floors below the Commissioner's office is evidence of our ability to identify and work with the right individuals in the PTO to advance your causes, all the way from accessing the prior art to zeroing in on a sought for file history.   In between, we can talk to the petition deciders, the drafting people, the PCT office, taking care of your certification problems and even get an early issuance of your patent.

1. A good search strategy begins with finding and consulting with the right Examiner.  It makes sense to enlist the insight of the person most familiar with a particular art area.  A computer search can't do that!

2. A good search begins with a manual search in the appropriate classes and subclasses in the Patent Office and continues to include the Examiner's own classified foreign patent and literature art corresponding to the U.S. classes and subclasses.  A computer search can't do that!

3. A good search includes the Automated Patent System (APS), available only on the computer work stations in the PTO.  A www.uspto.gov search on the internet cannot perform as well as the APS.

     The above three itemized stages for achieving the best searches cannot be duplicated except at the PTO.  For this reason we are located, as in the above photo, in the best possible place.

     Here are two more reasons for employing the services of the SCHELLIN & ASSOCIATES.

1. After our search is completed and you have our results in hand, we will monitor every Tuesday for a period of one year, to see if the most pertinent U.S. patents listed by us in the search results are cited in a subsequently issuing U.S. patent.

2. After our search is completed and you have our results in hand, we will monitor every Tuesday for a period of one year to see if any new issued patents are classified in those classes and subclasses that are most pertinent which were listed in our search report.

     Did you know that when a PCT application is filed in the RO at the PTO, they are obligated to verify that the documents enumerated on the receipt card are actually present before the receipt card is stamped?  So why don't you have us file all of your PCTs?

     We have our own drafting department capable of producing your drawings both manually and computer assisted.  Again, due to our proximity, we can personally talk to the drafting branch of the publishing division when the application has been allowed and when you wand quick acceptance of the formal drawings to avoid subtracting any more time from the life span of your to-be-issued patent.

     And, you can be assured that you can talk and consult with our experts who are conversant with any PTO related problems that may arise.

     And, we won't leave you hanging, because we will give you continuing feedback on the status of the tasks entrusted us.
